Despite all the controversy surrounding GOP Missouri senate candidate Todd Akin and his (idiotic) comment about rape the Republican platform committee still approved today pro-life plank language that includes no exceptions for cases of rape, incest, or life of the mother.

Does that sound like what a calculating, disingenuous, driven-by-the-moment political party would do?

No, it’s what a principled party does.

I can very easily be talked into supporting the death penalty for some violent rape cases– just for the  aggressor, not the poor kid that has to deal with having that as a genetic father.
