Federales Messing with Air Force Museum

Aliens in This World

The Air Force Museum is on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, but most of the money for running it comes from various civilian foundations.

So after the Pay Our Military appropriations got passed and the civilian base workers got back from furlough, it seemed that the Museum could definitely open again.

So they opened it today —

And then, they were told to keep it shut from now on. Because somehow, the non-Park Service, non-Air Force-money museum being open would mess up that jackbooted Park Service closure thing.

More ridiculous crapping around.

  1. This whole park service shutdown business is driving me up the wall angry. Among other unnecessary stuff to deal with, I had to call today and doublecheck that the San Jacinto monument would still be open for our field trip on Thursday. It’s a state monument, but that doesn’t mean they mayn’t have tried to close it anyway.
