Kirksville Primary School Principal Tricia Reger has since apologized, Puckett confirmed, noting that she “assured me that they understood that our daughter was being fed appropriately and that there was a little bit of an overreach with the way that was handled.”
Some idiot sent a nasty letter about the “cafeteria reporting” that a kid’s lunch was four chocolate bars, a bag of marshmallows, ritz crackers and a pickle.
Problem: the lunch had been four pieces of lean ham (that’s two servings, if they were standard pieces), string cheese and a pickle.
She had four marshmallows for dessert and one small piece of dark chocolate, with two others to share.
There were no crackers.
Sounds like a gluten-free lunch to me.
