ISIS | meat grinder flyer | Defense Department | recruitment

The Department of Defense recently dropped 60,000 copies of a leaflet depicting potential ISIS recruits literally being put through a meat grinder.

Why propaganda? The U.S. military believes that, for all their bravado, ISIS is currently running a precarious defense in the Middle East. They’re teetering in Iraq, and losing ground in Syria, partially due to coalition airstrikes targeting strongholds.

Kind of slow, but better than never.

“Daesh” seems more fitting of a name than “Isis.”

  1. I wish we would stop using ISIS/ISIL and go with “Daesh.” Apparently it irritates the thugs to no end. The French gleefully use Daesh just to tweak their collective tail.

    1. How is pronouced, anyway? “Day-sh”? Husband is saying “Duh-esh,” but a really short “duh” sound.

I try to remember to say “Saddam” like the city of Sodom, in part because I heard that it annoyed him to no end that W did so. I don’t like to be rude, but there’s taking polite to ridiculous levels and it’s reached with those who wish to kill you.
