Head Noises 
Strangely, I’m remember a Mike Resnick short story.
On this one planet, there was only one news/information service and the owner harshly criticized the planetary leader.
The leader (still an elected official) threatened to nationalize the service but the owner “gave in” and signed a legally binding document promising to not criticize the leader with the leader bond by the document to not nationalize the service.
The owner then ordered his service to not mention the leader at all and the leader realized that legally he couldn’t do anything about.
So when it came time for the leader to run for re-election he couldn’t get advertising nor could his speeches be covered at all.
Obviously, the leader lost the election but the New Planetary Leader nationalized the service.
I think Facebook, Twitter, etc should worry that if they can block political activity that they dislike that the politicians they “support” may be concerned that the “social media companies” might to the same to them. Thus the Left would “quietly” nationalize the “social media companies”. Or the News Media should likewise concerned (but won’t be). :sad:
