Any good recommendations for a weblog/site host besides WordPress that’s at least as easy to use?
Nope– I only ran into these alternatives because someone who actually Does This Stuff linked them.
Got it. Thanks anyway.
There’s a guy blogging at ai dot mee dot nu
He (Pixy Misa) is, if I understand correctly, doing the development/support for a bunch of blogs hosted at *.mee.nu.
I once had a blog there, that looked like it still existed when I checked it out a couple months back.
Pixy is Australian, and apparently not too enthralled with stuff that has been going down. So he might be trustworthy.
I don’t remember that blogging was too difficult on that platform. I’m not entirely sure how it compares to WordPress. A few years after I let my mee.nu blog go silent, I was active on a shared blog based in WordPress. That is defunct now, but I don’t recall it being very different. Maybe wordpress is a little easier. That said, I didn’t care much about the appearence/design aspects, so I didn’t study customizing that stuff.
Ooo! Thank you, I’ll check it out! 😃
Looks like I got moderated for some reason.
ai dot mee dot nu
That’s the blog of a guy that hosts a defunct blog of mine. I think his software isn’t wordpress based.
I once participated on a shared wordpress blog, and I don’t remember posting at the mee.nu blog being much, if any, worse.
For some reason it threw you in with the “what language is that?” bot posts, and didn’t even pop up a mention.
Thanks for the heads up.
